Food Collections

The 2022 Thanksgiving Food Drive has been completed. With 142 turkeys and thousands of non-perishable food donations from our giving community, we deem this year’s food collection a success. The recipients of the 2022 Thanksgiving Food Drive are as follows:

  • Rotary Club Families
  • Epiphany Church
  • Head Start Program in Brick
  • Ocean Cares Foundation
  • Ocean County Family Support Organization, Inc.

We want to thank all of those who helped us feed our community during this holiday season.

While giving during the holidays is crucial, our community is hungry throughout the year, which is why we collect non-perishable items year-round. Collection areas can be found below.

If you’re passionate about giving back to the local community, then we want YOUR help! We invite you to join The Shore Movement’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and donate any non-perishable food items you’re able to offer. From canned goods to frozen turkeys, we’re grateful for any and all contributions. In partnership with The Brick Morning Rotary, Wingman Planning welcomes everyone to donate non-perishable food items to our office’s contact-free collection bins. All contributions will be dispersed to local non-profits and charities, including the Ocean Cares Foundation. To participate, please donate to our contact-free collection bins within Wingman Planning's foyer, located at 2677 Highway 70 in Manasquan. For any questions, contact us at (732) 539-5980.

Additionally, Monmouth and Ocean County businesses can help by signing up to host food collection bins at their locations. If you’re a business located in Monmouth or Ocean County wishing to participate in this joyous occasion, sign up to be a food collection spot! This not only allows you and your staff to help with our goal, but your clients can join too! Expect your collection bin to be delivered within two weeks of signing up. Contact us today at (732) 539-5980.

Because we rely on volunteers in our daily operations, we appreciate each and every hour they give us. Our goal is to make their time here as productive and fulfilling as possible.

You can help us be efficient in our work if you follow these guidelines:

  • Donation bin drop-offs, only donate food that is nonperishable (canned, boxed, etc.).
  • Donations of produce and other perishable foods must be arranged in advance to ensure we can accommodate them. Please call 732-539-5980 for details.
  • Check the dates on all items. We cannot accept expired food.
  • We cannot accept medications or vitamins of any kind, even over-the-counter items.
  • Please do not give us items that are open or damaged.
  • Please give only standard size vs. big box store items. These are easier to distribute to families of all sizes and store on our shelves.
  • Please donate only food, personal care items or household cleaners. We are not equipped to take household items such as dishes, clothing, furniture, etc.
